Mottled, flaky bark; yellow-brown fall color.
Full sun; best in moist, well drained soils, but tolerate of dry sites as well; tolerant of air pollution and high soil pH.
Variable in susceptibility to anthracnose, but the disease is usually less serious on London Planetree than on it's parent tree, Sycamore.
Open, somewhat irregular and wide-spreading.
