Small, white flowers in flat-topped clusters in late spring; fruit changes from yellow to red to black and all three colors may be present in the same fruit cluster, giving the shrub a very colorful appearance; the fruit persist through much of autumn; autumn color is purple red, but is not consistent from year to year.

Culture

Full sun to partial shade; moist, well-drained soil is best, but is very tolerant of dry soils; also very tolerant of alkaline soils.

Notes

Viburnums tend to be multi-season plants with ornamental value throughout a large part of the season.
